About Me
Hi, I’m Henry! I graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a triple major in Physics, Philosophy Honors, and Classics. In that time, I held a number of research assistantships, presented papers at several conferences, and won the CAMWS Advanced Latin Translation Exam, a Latin competition in which advanced students from universities across the US participate. Since then, I’ve worked at multiple boutique tutoring companies in New York City and my home state of Tennessee.
My triple major has given me the versatility to tutor in a wide variety of areas, but I’m particularly dedicated to IB Math, which I’ve had the opportunity to experience both as an HL student in high school, and, on the other side, as a tutor helping others get the scores they want and need for their target colleges. I love seeing students develop ever greater mastery of IB Math content; for many, it's their first experience with how post-secondary math and science actually works. That can be difficult, to be sure: IB Math is undoubtedly hard. But it can also be invigorating for students as they gain greater mathematical confidence and build out a stronger college application.
